Instructions for use of Iskra Golden from pests, dosage and analogues

Active substance and release form

The newest systemic drug is highly effective and cost-effective. Thanks to this, it is affordable for any gardener. Available in 3 formulations: water-soluble concentrate, powder, tablets. They all contain the same active substance - imidacloprid. Identical in the way they affect insects and the range of pests affected.

All types of the product are used in private households. “Iskra Zolotaya” VRK is available in ampoules of 1 and 5 milliliters and in bottles of 10 milliliters and contains 200 grams/liter of active substance. The powder with the same name has a concentration of 25 grams/liter, the same concentration in tablets of the drug. Any variety is additionally packaged in a bright plastic bag, which contains information about the amount of the product, its purpose, and formulation. Manufacturer's recommendations on rules of use and safety precautions are indicated.

For treating indoor plants, bottles with a ready-made working solution are offered - 900 milliliters, equipped with a sprayer, and Iskra Zolotoy sticks, 20 pieces per package. With their help you can easily get rid of annoying aphids and thrips.

Personal precautions

Iskra Bio is considered safe for warm-blooded animals, but other types of these drugs, although formally little dangerous (hazard class 3), have a cumulative effect, i.e. accumulate in the body and are able to penetrate through the skin. Since no one is guaranteed against a sudden gust of wind, treatment with Iskra in the air must be done using a full set of PPE: overalls with a hood, a respirator with a mask, and rubber gloves. It’s not hot, it’s not hot, you can’t work with Iskra without a hat and short sleeves.

A full set of PPE for working with insecticides is expensive, and in the summer it is unbearably parky, on the one hand. On the other hand, a private landowner does not work by hire or schedule, but at his own discretion and can choose a very quiet day for cultivation. In this case, a respirator, which is often sold complete with a sprayer, is sufficient from special PPE. The overalls can be replaced with a plastic raincoat-cape, and household latex gloves can be used; their leggings should go under the sleeves, pos. 1 in Fig.:

Personal protective equipment for working with Iskra preparations

When treating indoor plants, gusts of wind are excluded, but accidental splashes are not, especially since you need to use Iskra for indoor plants in a ventilated area. Therefore, simply “sprinkle” with the working solution, as shown in pos. 2, you can't. You need to wear a petal respirator, household latex gloves, pos. 3, and some glasses with glass lenses. Acrylic and other plastic lenses gradually become cloudy from the vapors of any insecticide.

If Iskra solutions get inside or onto mucous membranes, rinse the affected areas with water (if it gets inside, drink 1.5-2 liters and induce vomiting) and immediately consult a toxicologist. Strong antidotes (antidotes) for Iskra poisoning are used: atropine, toxotropine, PAM. Self-medication with them can lead to serious and even tragic consequences.

Scope of application and principle of operation of the drug

The product is used to treat potatoes, vegetables, garden flowers, and indoor plants against pests. Can effectively destroy:

  • Colorado potato beetle;
  • wireworm;

The drug is used against more than 60 species of insect pests; about 150 types of crops are processed in the world.

Advantages of use:

  • effective against a huge number of pest species;
  • long period of protective effect;
  • insects fail to develop resistance to the drug;
  • does not lose effectiveness in hot weather and is not washed off by precipitation;
  • no phytotoxicity.

Systemic action ensures high effectiveness of the drug. According to the method of penetration, it is a contact, intestinal, and systemic pesticide.

Insects receive a lethal dose of the drug by moving on the surface of leaves or eating them. The insecticide affects the central nervous system of insects, causing paralysis and death of pests. Active against larvae and adults. The first results are noticeable 1-1.5 hours after spraying. All processes in the body of insects slow down, they practically lose mobility. The area is completely cleared of pests in 1-3 days. One application during the growing season is sufficient.

Ask a Question

The drug is absorbed by the surface of the leaf blade of the plant, so it can be used in hot and rainy weather. It is not washed off when watering or during rain, affects pests for 20-25 days and effectively protects plantings.

Iskra M

The drug Iskra M is effective against invasions and outbreaks of mass reproduction of pests, because has a relatively short waiting period for action - 1-3 days, depending on the outside temperature. The additive in the name “from caterpillars” is generally not entirely accurate, because Iskra Bio and other biological products are more effective from them, although their waiting times are longer. But if the moment when the pest population begins to develop is missed (say, at a weekend dacha), then Iskra M will help suppress it even at its peak. Dosages and processing rates are as follows:

  1. Working solution – 1:1000 with clean soft water (preferably settled rain water), i.e. 5 ml ampoule per 5 liters of water or 10 ml bottle per bucket. If flakes appear during dilution - the water is hard or alkaline, the solution is gone;
  2. Vegetables, melons - 1 liter of working solution per 10 square meters. m landing. Treat by spraying;
  3. Potatoes and root vegetables - the same, but consumption is 2 liters per 10 square meters. m;
  4. Berry bushes - spray 1 liter per bush for young ones, 1.5 liters per bush for mature ones (those that have reached normal fruiting);
  5. Fruit trees - spray 2 l/crown for young non-flowering ones, 3 l/crown for “teenagers” (already flowering, but not yet bearing full fruit) and 5 l/crown for adults.

Iskra M is a good inexpensive insect repellent, but, firstly, it takes a long time to remove from plants, so the last spraying should be carried out no earlier than 2 weeks before harvest. Secondly, 2-3 times of treatment per season are allowed, however, since the drug causes addiction in pests and develops resistance (resistance), treatments with Iskra M must be alternated with treatments with pyrethroids, for example. Spark Double effect. Thirdly, karbofos is a cumulative poison for warm-blooded animals, so when using Iskra M, you must especially carefully observe self-defense measures and precautions.

Note: Malathion migrates relatively slowly into plant tissue and is easily washed off. Therefore, if it rained the night after treatment with Iskra M, it needs to be repeated.

Iskra Zolotaya additionally stimulates plant growth. Plants cannot be sprayed less than 20 days before harvesting. Processing is carried out in dry weather, without wind. It is better to do this early in the morning or after sunset.

Iskra Golden

This preparation is more suitable for flowers, incl. indoor and commercial areas and generally well-groomed, under supervision at all times. Iskra Zolotaya is a powerful pest control agent that requires application only once per season, but if the beginning of an outbreak of harmful living creatures is missed (especially the Colorado potato beetle), then Iskra M will have to be called in for help, which lingers in plants for a long time, because The waiting time for Iskra Zolotoy to act on food crops is quite long. If the area is looked after and spraying is done on time, then the products can be put up for sale the next day after treatment, without fear that consumer control will find something inappropriate in it.

Iskra Gold is available in the form of ampoules of 1, 2 and 5 ml and bottles of 10 and 25 ml of emulsion, as well as sticks for indoor plants, see below. Obtaining and using the working solution is not difficult, see Fig., but the requirements for water for the working solution are quite high: the presence of chlorine is unacceptable (tap water must be left for a day), hardness should not exceed 12 German degrees.

Dosages and rates of application of insecticide for plants Iskra Zolotaya

Golden for indoor plants

Iskra Zolotaya, due to its high activity and lack of odor, is widely used as an insecticide for indoor plants; the high cost of the drug in this case is insignificant. Especially for indoor flowers, Iskra Zolotaya is produced in sticks (sticks), simply stuck into the potting soil, see fig. But sticks are more of a preventive remedy. If the pests have already attacked, the plants need to be sprayed with a solution of Iskra Zolotaya (1 ml per 2 liters of water at the beginning of the attack or 1 ml per 1 liter of water at its height or against aphids). Processing should be carried out in a ventilated area using light precautions, see below.

Protecting plants from pest attacks using Iskra Zolotaya sticks

Note: analogs of Iskra Zolotoy are Biotlin, Zubr, Imidor, Commander, Corado, Prestige, Tanrek, etc.

Safety precautions and first aid

The substance is not too toxic for humans, has a hazard class 3 for humans, and is highly toxic for bees (class 1). If there is an apiary near the site, it is necessary to notify the beekeeper about the work being carried out in order to adjust the timing of the flight of insects.

Before preparing the working solution, it is necessary to prepare a container in which it will be mixed. Do not pour concentrate and working solution into containers used for cooking. Before starting work, wear protective gloves and goggles to protect your eyes from accidental contact with the drug.

When spraying plants, wear special suits or thick clothes with long sleeves, protect your hair with a headscarf or cap, and wear rubber boots on your feet. Safety glasses and gloves are required. After work, the sprayer is freed from drug residues and washed with water, clothes are removed and washed, hands and exposed areas of the body are thoroughly washed.

If the drug is accidentally swallowed, you must urgently call a doctor, rinse the stomach (use water or a weak solution of potassium permanganate), induce profuse repeated vomiting, after which you can give the victim activated charcoal at the rate of 1 tablet per 10 kilograms of weight.

Description

Iskra Zolotaya , VRK is the latest drug for combating the Colorado potato beetle, whitefly, aphids, thrips and other insects on potatoes, vegetables, flowers and ornamental crops.

The dosage form is a water-soluble concentrate.

Packaging – 1 ml ampoule, 10 ml bottle.

Advantages of the drug:

  1. Highly effective against a wide range of dangerous pests: the Colorado potato beetle and its larvae, whiteflies, aphids, thrips, and other insects on potatoes, vegetables, flowers and ornamental crops.
  2. Long-lasting protective effect. After spraying, the drug is absorbed into the upper cellular layers of the leaves and spreads throughout the above-ground part of the plant. Thanks to this, the drug is not washed off by rain or when watering, remains in plants for more than 25 days, protects them from pests that have flown from other areas, and protects shoots that appear after treatment.
  3. Destroys insects resistant to other drugs. Over the twelve years of its use in the world, no pest addiction has been identified to imidacloprid.
  4. It works flawlessly in hot weather, which is especially important for the southern regions.
  5. When used according to instructions, it is highly safe for humans and warm-blooded animals, birds, fish, beneficial insects, and earthworms.

How to apply it correctly?

The quality and duration of the effect of the treatment depends on the correct use of the drug.

The insect control agent must be diluted in 5 or 10 liters of water, depending on the area of treatment and the pest that will be treated. The resulting solution should be sprayed onto the plants. The product envelops the leaves, creating a film, destroys parasites, protects the crop and plants from their further appearance.

Repeated treatment can be carried out after two weeks. Typically this is not required.

Solution consumption:

  • 10 liters of working solution is enough for 3-7 fruit-bearing trees. It all depends on the degree of damage to the tree and its size;
  • every 1.5 liters of the drug is used per 10 square meters when processing berry bushes (strawberries, wild strawberries) and shrubs (currants, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries);
  • legumes are also treated with a chemical with an approximate consumption of 1.5 liters of solution per 10 m2;
  • for cucumbers and tomatoes you will need 2 liters of solution per 10 square meters;
  • for beets and carrots, it is enough to spend 1 liter of solution per 10 m2.

Application regulations

The drug concentrate is dissolved in water in the required ratio (see regulations below) - on average 1-2 ml. The drug is diluted in 10 liters. water, which is enough to process 1 hundred square meters of plantings.

The frequency of treatments is only 1 time.
