"Cypermethrin" is an effective drug with a wide spectrum of action. The material contains the purpose, composition, mechanism of action, regulations for use, restrictions, analogues, etc.

Processing order

The use of cypermethrin will be successful only if the pest concentration areas are known; their processing costs approx. 75% of the solution volume. As a preliminary inspection of the premises, they are guided by the scheme for searching for bedbug nests (see figure).

Where can bedbugs hide in the house?

If the target is cockroaches, their nests and routes of movement are searched in a space up to 1.5 m above the floor; for fleas you can limit yourself to 1 m. The most difficult thing is to look for bedbugs; this matter requires some experience, see video:

Video: searching for bedbugs when treating a sofa

Note: upholstered furniture from bedbugs is treated separately before general disinfestation of the room, see video:

Video: pre-treatment of upholstered furniture against bedbugs

Cypermethrin does not affect parasite eggs - they do not contain nervous tissue. Bed bugs are one of the most specialized synanthropic bloodsuckers and are quite adapted to fighting them: bed bug eggs from the same clutch can partially “fall asleep,” awakening after a long time and giving rise to new generations of parasites. The only thing that reliably kills them is an increase in temperature above 60-70 degrees. Therefore, after using any pesticides against bedbugs, you need to steam upholstered furniture and bed linen with a household steam generator, see video:

Video: using a steam generator in combination with chemical treatment

What to do with exoparasites?

Bed bugs, fleas, house cockroaches and ants are the so-called. endogenous parasites that live and reproduce where they cause harm. Flies and mosquitoes are exogenous parasites, aliens. Places inhabited by flies are quite easily determined visually; It is also not very difficult to find clusters of maggots. With mosquitoes and other flying bloodsuckers (biting midges, midges) it is more difficult: you need to “calculate” the landing sites before attacking - they do not attack on the fly. Most often, “jumping airfields” of flies and mosquitoes are found on the sides of garbage cans, on outdoor toilets, near cesspools, compost heaps, etc. dirty places. They spend approx. 50% working solution; the rest is sprayed evenly over the area. It must be said that a more or less successful fight against midges is only possible systematically on a large scale in natural sites. On your own, it is possible to get rid of endogenous mosquitoes (not those arriving from afar) on your site, and only in some cases, see video:

  • apple trees, pears (codling moth, leaf rollers);
  • currants (aphids, moths, leaf rollers, sawflies)

b) protection from pests of agricultural crops and stocks (cereal aphids, thrips, pest bugs, ants, ground beetles, stem flies, flax flea beetles, meadow moths, etc.);

c) medical and veterinary practice (ixodid ticks, etc.);

d) sanitary and household disinsection of premises for the destruction of flightless synanthropic insects (fleas, cockroaches, bed bugs) and for treating fly landing sites.

The effect of the drug applies to both larvae and adult insects.

Cypertrin buy in Moscow

The drug "Cypertrin" is used to combat many types of insects. It is suitable for treating indoor and natural objects. The main areas of use of Cyperthrin:

  1. Fight against synanthropic arthropods - cockroaches, bedbugs, mosquitoes, ants, flies, fleas. The working solution can be used to treat residential and industrial buildings, medical and preventive facilities, and public catering establishments. Exceptions include patient rooms, children's playrooms and bedrooms.
  2. Protection against ixodid ticks - carriers of Lyme disease, encephalitis and causative agents of other dangerous infections. The product is suitable for treating areas and for applying to clothing.
  3. Destruction of adult mosquitoes and larvae, as well as other representatives of midges in natural water bodies that are not of sanitary value and are not used for fishing purposes.

If you are looking for where you can find Cypertrin and buy it in Moscow, it is better to seek help from professional exterminators. Treating objects with the drug requires special equipment, skills and qualifications.

Composition and dosage form

"Cypermethrin 25, EC" is a single drug. The main active ingredient is Cypermethrin , concentration 250ml/1l. (25%) – a chemical substance of the pyrethroid class.

The release format is EC (emulsion concentrate) with a dosage of 25% of the active substance. This is the maximum concentration in the line of drugs.

Precautionary measures

Violating the rules for the safe use of Cypermethrin can lead to poisoning, so you need to do everything necessary to prevent this from happening, and in case of poisoning, provide first aid and urgently consult a doctor.

People with chronic diseases and those who suffer from allergies to chemicals should use this drug especially carefully, or even better, have someone else do it for them.

The drug must be stored in places inaccessible to children and pets, away from food and medicines.

Mechanism of action

In terms of its effect on organisms, “Cypermethrin 25, EC” is classified as an insecticide; in terms of its method of penetration, it is a contact-intestinal pesticide.

When contacted with/on an insect, it blocks neuronal connections, further paralyzing, leading to death.

The drug is characterized by high initial activity.

The period of protective action is 10-15 days.

It does not have a systemic effect, but remains for a long time on treated surfaces (up to 20-30 days), as it is quite resistant to high temperatures and ultraviolet rays.

Toxicity of Cypermethrin

Depending on where the treatment is carried out, Cypermethrin has different effects on a person. When disinfesting premises inside buildings, the drug is classified as a second hazard class, that is, highly dangerous substances. In open areas, the product has been assigned the third moderately dangerous class.

When using an insectoacaricide, it is imperative to follow safety precautions, which are described in great detail in the manual. Neglecting to use protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, a respirator, a gown or a protective suit can lead to cypermethrin poisoning.

Since the substance belongs to the group of cyanopyrethroids, the symptoms of intoxication when the chemical enters a person are neurotoxic in nature, namely:

  • slower reactions;
  • disturbance of gait and coordination of movements;
  • involuntary drooling;
  • CNS disorders and seizures.

If all rules are followed, the use of insectoacaricide does not pose a danger to people.

Regulations for the use of the drug "Cypermethrin 25, EC"

The main method of application is spraying with a freshly prepared solution. The period of use and/or storage of the working solution is no more than 8 hours. To prepare the working solution, the concentrate is dissolved in water in the required ratio (see table below) and mixed thoroughly.

The consumption rate of the working solution is 50 ml/m2 for non-moisture-absorbing surfaces and 100 ml/m2 for moisture-absorbing surfaces.

Instructions for use

Products based on cypermethrin belong to the second and third hazard classes. Despite the destructive effect on insects and arthropods, the substance is much less dangerous for animals and humans. But large doses and careless use of the product lead to poisoning and allergic reactions.

When using drugs with cypermethrin, you must adhere to the instructions that each manufacturer individually draws up for their products. There are several general principles that are important to follow during pest control:

  • remove all people not involved in processing from the premises,
  • remove all food, personal belongings and dishes,
  • bring the product into a form suitable for use, i.e. dilute in water if we are talking about an emulsion,
  • to carry out the procedure, wear thick long-sleeved clothing, a respirator, rubber gloves, special glasses or (which is better) a protective suit,

  • to avoid the return of ticks, carry out a thorough treatment, paying attention to baseboards, carpets (on both sides), sewer pipes, furniture, places where wallpaper peels off,
  • At the end of the procedure, leave the room for two hours, open the windows or vents to ventilate the apartment, and carry out wet cleaning.

Although manufacturers of cypermethrin claim that ticks are not addictive to this substance, one should not be negligent about the quality of processing. There are a number of reasons for this:

  • toxicity - the product is relatively safe, but it is unknown what long-term (six months, for example) contact with it will lead to,
  • pests can appear at the most inopportune moment - after treatment there is a small chance of survival of part of the population, and over time the effect of cypermethrin will weaken, cockroaches, bedbugs and ticks will move into the apartment again (the likelihood of the latter exists even with conscientious use of the product, so you should also not forget about prevention),
  • money spent - this point follows from the previous two and implies an increase in costs for the fight against insects and arthropods in case of inattention to treatment with cypermethrin and other insecticides.

After cleaning, it is better not to enter the apartment for 12 hours, and if among the residents there are children, old people, people with allergies or weakened immune systems - 24 hours.

The use of powder and tablets with cypermethrin is no fundamentally different from the use of an emulsion. The difference is in the method of dilution and the amount of product consumed per liter of water, which each manufacturer indicates individually, based on the concentration of the active substance in the product.

Where to buy and how much does it cost?

Owners of apartments affected by infection often do not know where they can buy the chemical, or how much this poison costs. Until recently, Cypermethrin for bedbugs, which has good reviews, was mainly used by sanitary and epidemiological services. Now the drug itself and analogues of the active component are easy to find on the open market. It is often available in hardware stores, and you can purchase the pesticide on the Internet in a few minutes. Store addresses can be found in any search engine.

You can find complaints online about the high cost of the drug. But this only applies to large bottles that are purchased for industrial use: they actually cost from 1,700 rubles. For an ordinary apartment, a 50 ml bottle of Cypermethrin is enough, the price of which ranges from 140 to 260 rubles.

Precautions when working indoors

  • Treatment of premises should be carried out in the absence of people, pets, birds, fish, and with open windows. Food and utensils should be removed and carefully covered before processing.
  • When treating workshops of industrial enterprises, first remove and carefully cover products that can adsorb the product.
  • After treatment, the room should be well ventilated for at least 30 minutes.
  • Treatment in children's and food institutions should be carried out on sanitary days or weekends.
  • After disinsection, carry out wet cleaning of the room using a soap and soda solution.
  • Premises treated with the product cannot be used until they are cleaned, which is carried out no later than 3 hours before using the facility for its intended purpose.
  • Cleaning is carried out wearing gloves, using a soda solution (30-50 grams of soda ash per 1 liter of water).
  • Those working with the product must observe the following precautions: before starting to work with the product, the exterminator provides instructions on safety precautions and first aid measures. Persons carrying out disinfestation, packaging of products, and preparation of emulsions must use personal protective equipment.
