Insecticide Mospilan
Mospilan is a product belonging to a new class of insecticides - neonicotinoids. It has an effective contact and gastric effect against harmful insects from the family Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and Homoptera. Mospilan can be used to process various vegetable crops, as well as sunflowers, winter wheat, apple trees, pears, citrus trees and other crops.
Characteristics of Mospilan
The active ingredient of Mospilan, developed by Japanese scientists, is acetamiprid, the content of which in the insecticide is 20%.

Mospilan insecticide is presented in the form of a water-soluble powder, which is packaged in bags of different weights - from 2.5 g to 1 kg.
Mechanism of action
Mospilan, characterized by excellent systemic and translaminar action, is absorbed by the plant in a short time and spread to all its parts, including untreated ones.
After treatment, pests die as a result of direct contact with the insecticide, as well as by eating parts of plants poisoned by Mospilan solution.
The insecticidal effect of Mospilan is manifested through its effect on the nervous system of insects, which leads to severe nervous overexcitation, paralysis of insects, and then their further death.

Depending on the type of insect, the insecticide can have a poisonous effect on eggs, larvae and adults.
Advantages of Mospilan
- Has a contact and systemic effect,
- Destroys pests regardless of the development phase: eggs, larvae, adult insects,
- Does not cause resistance in both the adult pest and its larvae,
- It is effective even at high air temperatures, and therefore can be used even in the hottest months,
- It is not phytotoxic, odorless,
- It has good compatibility with literally all pesticides and insecticides, with the exception of only those that, when combined, make the solution highly alkaline (sulfur-containing products, Bordeaux mixture)
- The period of plant protection is 15-20 days,
- Does not pose a danger to humans. Also non-toxic to bees, fish, earthworms and mammals.
Instructions for use
Plants are treated with a freshly prepared solution at a time when the number of pests reaches the economic threshold of harmfulness. The effect of Mospilan is visible within an hour after spraying.
Spraying is recommended to be carried out in dry and windless weather, this will allow the solution to be evenly applied to the green part of the plants.

ADVANTAGES OF MOSPILAN
- It has a contact and systemic effect and can spread throughout the plant. The drug has a two-way effect: transmilar – on plants and systemic – on pests. Therefore, the effect of the drug against the pest also manifests itself on untreated areas of plants. Thanks to this, the death of insects occurs faster and in larger quantities;
- Destroys pests regardless of the development phase: eggs, larvae, adult insects;
- The result is visible almost an hour after use. The next day you can see pests affected by the drug under the plants and on the ground.
- Does not cause resistance in both the adult pest and its larvae;
- It is effective even at high air temperatures, and therefore can be used even in the hottest months;
- Suitable for all types of sprayers;
- It is not phytotoxic, odorless;
- It has good compatibility with literally all pesticides and insecticides, with the exception of only those that, when combined, make the solution highly alkaline (sulfur-containing products, Bordeaux mixture)
- The plant protection period is 15-20 days;
- Does not pose a danger to humans. Also non-toxic to bees, fish, earthworms and mammals.
- The active ingredient of the insecticide is absolutely safe for the plant itself and mammals.
- Treatment with the insecticide MOSPILAN does not in any way affect the growth, flowering and fruiting of crops, as well as the benefits and taste of the crop.
- According to registration in the European Union and studies conducted, MOSPILAN soluble powder is approved for use during the flowering period of the garden and rapeseed!
The mechanism of action is as follows:
After processing the plant, the chemical substance enters the sieve tubes through the stomata on the leaves - a kind of system for moving organic substances through the vegetative part. When an insect eats a shoot, acetamiprid enters the pest's body. There, this chemical destroys neural connections and the entire nervous system of the insect.
The effect of the drug on harmful organisms is unique and differs from currently used pesticides: acytomipride interacts with the nicotine acetylcholine receptor of the postsynaptic membrane as a competitor to acetylcholine. But unlike acetylcholine, the active ingredient of the drug MOSPILAN - acetomiprid is not destroyed, which causes a disruption in the transmission of nerve impulses through the synapse and the insect dies from severe nervous overexcitation.
MOSPILAN AND BEES
Mospilan is not very dangerous for bees - hazard class 3, but nevertheless, it must be used with extreme caution during flowering. Bees are sensitive to neonicotinoids and may be harmed by the active components of the substance.
Advice: postpone the use of MOSPILAN during flowering in the area of any nectar-bearing plants minus two days before and the same amount after.

One of the main enemies of gardeners and gardeners are various insect pests. They not only deprive the harvest, but also cause significant harm to the crops themselves, making them vulnerable to diseases. Often traditional methods are unable to cope with a disaster, especially if the initial stage is missed, and the scale of the damage covers the entire garden or vegetable garden. And here insecticides come to the rescue - highly effective drugs for pest control.
Insecticides – reliable protection of your crops from insect pests!
By feeding on plants, insects are able to reduce and sometimes completely destroy the crop. They damage the generative and vegetative organs of plants, deteriorating their quality, and are carriers of pathogens of viral diseases. That is why there is a need to effectively control their numbers.
Insecticides are chemicals specifically designed to kill insect pests.
Their name is derived from two Latin words - insectum (insect) and caedo (to kill). These drugs may differ in chemical composition, spectrum and nature of action, quality, cost and other indicators. If you decide to buy insecticides, you should not neglect the quality, because the effectiveness of the drug, and therefore the safety of the crop, depends on it.
Classification of insecticides.
According to the nature of penetration of pests into the body, all insect exterminators are divided into:
1. contact,
2. intestinal,
3. systemic.
- The principle of action of systemic insecticides is to move the substance through the vascular system of the plant and poison the insects as a result of feeding on its poisonous juice.
- Intestinal preparations are similar to systemic insecticides, penetrating the pest’s body through the food system and damaging it when it enters the intestines.
Contact-type drugs kill insects through direct contact with any part of the body, not just the digestive organs. However, contact insecticides have certain limitations: they protect only the part of the plant to which they are applied and have only a protective effect, which is highly dependent on the level of precipitation.
Mechanism of action and benefits of the product
The active substance of Mospilan is acitomiprid.
The drug penetrates the plant through all its parts and spreads freely throughout it. Effective upon direct contact and eating by insects of a plant treated with an insecticide. The active substance of the drug acitomiprid acts on the nerve endings of parasites, causing disruption of nerve impulses and death from overexcitation.
Advantages of the drug:
- Thanks to contact and systemic actions, the drug moves throughout the plant from untreated to treated areas, which makes it much more effective. does not cause addiction to pests and their larvae,
- active even at elevated temperatures, which makes it indispensable in abnormally hot summer months, non-phytotoxic and odorless,
- protective effect from two to three weeks.
Effect of the drug Mospilan
The active component of Mospilan is acetamiprid, which belongs to the chemical class of neonicotinoids. Since the drug penetrates the plant through any of its organs and spreads freely throughout the plant, it acts on pests even in those areas that have not been treated with Mospilan. The pest is affected both through direct contact with its body and when the parasite eats the treated plant. The active ingredient of Mospilan affects the nervous system of pests, they lose activity an hour after spraying, then paralysis occurs, and within a day they die. The drug acts on larvae, eggs, and adult insects, but the effectiveness depends on the type of pest. The protective effect of the drug lasts 2-3 weeks.
Analogues of Mospilan are the drugs Alpha-Acetamiprid, Coragen, Mavrik and Micro.
- How and when to treat cabbage and onions against flies
This insecticide is used to destroy Colorado potato beetles, apple sawflies and codling moths, aphids, leafminer and apple moths, ground beetles, netted leaf rollers, scale insects, various types of locusts, weevils, beet flea beetles, shield moths, sand bugs, thrips, mealybugs, bedbugs and larvae leeches.
The advantages of Mospilan are:
- the ability to destroy pests even in untreated areas of the plant;
- a new mechanism of action that does not cause resistance;
- high biological activity even at high air temperatures;
- lack of phytotoxicity;
- low level of danger for people, bees and animals;
- compatibility with most pesticides;
- preservation of properties during temperature fluctuations.
Application procedure
The temperature range for the effectiveness of Mospilan corresponds to that for storage. That is, this pesticide is not a spring pesticide and is not very effective in the summer heat. The working solution of the drug is prepared in a plastic bucket in the shade or in a shaded room. Water temperature is 20-25 degrees. The container is filled one-third to one-quarter full with water, while continuously stirring with a chemically neutral stirrer (glass, plastic), the powder is gradually introduced, stirred for another 3-5 minutes, and water is also added to the norm while stirring. The prepared solution is immediately poured into the sprayer tank. It must be developed within 24 hours. Keeping in mind the decomposition of the drug in the light, treatment should be carried out in the evening. Time before rain – from 4 hours.
Instructions for treating plants with the Mospilan insecticide are given in table. On potatoes, the drug is more effective against such a little-known pest as the potato ladybug. On the apple tree - from mining moths. Doesn't take sawfly eggs at all, because... they hide them deep in the wood. See above about the effectiveness of Mospilan against aphids.

Composition of the drug and release form
The active substance is dithianone. It fights several fungal enzymes at once, suppressing the development of resistance. Delan has a contact action. The drug has good adhesion to leaves and is not afraid of rain and dew.
The protective layer suppresses the germination of fungal spores. Part of the solution sprayed on the leaves is subsequently dissolved by precipitation. Thanks to repeated distribution, the fungicide protects the growth of the leaf blade. Delan has other features:
- increases crop immunity to possible diseases,
- provides protection for a month after treatment,
- not afraid of temperature changes,
- has economical consumption.
Fungicide Delan protects trees and shrubs from leaf curl, scab, mildew, brown rot and other common diseases.
Available in the form of water-soluble granules. You can purchase packages of 5 g or 1 kg.
Mechanism of action
Mospilan is a systemic insecticide with contact-intestinal action. The main active substance in the drug is acytomipride, which is contained in a concentration of 20%. The insecticidal agent is available in the form of a powder intended for dissolution in water.
Mospilan has a systemic and translaminar effect - after processing the plant, it quickly spreads to all its parts. Insect pests die after eating the treated plant or coming into direct contact with it.
Mospilan powder is packaged in bags weighing from 2.5 g to 1 kg
The insecticidal drug affects the nervous system of the insect, disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses, causing paralysis of the pest and its subsequent death.
Instructions for use of mospilan
2.5 grams of Mospilan are diluted in 1 liter of water, after which 200 milliliters of the resulting solution are diluted with water to a volume of 10 liters - this solution is enough to treat 200-250 m2. The total solution prepared from one package of Mospilan (2.5 grams) is enough to treat 1000 m2.
To get rid of the Colorado potato beetle, the solution is made at the rate of 5-8 grams of Mospilan per 10 liters of water. Five liters of working solution should be enough for 100 m2.
To spray apple trees, 2.5 grams of Mospilan are diluted in 1 liter of water, after which, with constant stirring, it is gradually diluted to a volume of 10-12 liters. To treat against scale insects, Mospilan should be used 2 times more.
An hour after spraying, the pests begin to lose activity. A day after treatment, the death of pests occurs. Effective at high and medium temperatures. The protective effect lasts 2-3 weeks.
Application of Mospilan insecticide
The work is carried out during the growing season. Technology for preparing the solution: it is recommended to dilute the required amount of insecticidal preparation in 1 liter of water, after complete dissolution of the powder, add the remaining liquid. For convenience, the product is poured into a sprayer.
Against the Colorado potato beetle
Mospilan is used for soaking root crops before planting in the soil and for spraying plants after flowering. It is necessary to adhere to the dosage: 2 g of chemical per bucket of water. For 100 m2 of potato plantings, 5 liters of solution are required.
From whiteflies in protected ground
You should prepare a working liquid: 1 g of poison per 2 liters of water. The drug can be used in granular form - the granules are scattered on the ground.
Drug consumption rates
- To rid an apple orchard of ermine moths, aphids, stalks, rose and net roses, and anther, you need 150-200 g of the drug per hectare. To destroy different types of scale insects, you will need 400-500 g of solution per hectare. The garden must be processed 2 times per season, the second time 45 days before harvesting.
- To rid sugar beets of different types of weevils, honey beetles, flea beetles, sand borers, and aphids, 50-75 g of insecticide solution will be needed per hectare of treated area. During the season you need to do two sprayings, the last one 40 days before harvesting the beets.
- To rid a plantation of sugar beets, alfalfa, and sunflowers from the locust family, one spraying 40 days before harvest is enough. The consumption rate of the drug "Mospilan" is 50-72 g per hectare.
- Cucumbers and tomatoes grown in greenhouses are usually attacked by cotton and tobacco aphids and whiteflies. To get rid of these types of pests you will need 200-300 g of Mospilan per hectare of cultivated crop. Treatment is carried out once 3 days before harvesting.
- To treat potatoes against the Colorado potato beetle per hectare, you will need 50 g of the mixture. Spraying of the crop is carried out one-time 35 days before harvesting.
- To destroy aphids, harmful turtle bug larvae, red-breasted lechs, and bladderworts on a winter wheat plantation, you will need 100-120 g of insecticide. Spraying the area is carried out once a month before harvesting wheat.
- To protect a crop such as rapeseed from the cabbage gnat, flea beetles, bugs, and secretive proboscis, you will need 100-120 g of the drug per hectare. The crop is treated with an insecticide twice, the last one – 25 days before harvesting the rapeseed.
- Treatment of indoor and greenhouse flowers against whiteflies is carried out with Mospilan solution in the following proportion: 2 liters of water, 1 g of insecticide.
Purpose of the drug Mospilan
The product is effective in combating:
- Colorado potato beetle, apple sawfly, apple codling moth, aphids, apple and leafminer moths, netted leaf roller, bread ground beetle;

Mospilan effectively fights the codling moth, which damages most of the crop. Affected fruits not only lose their taste, but are also not stored. Plants damaged by pests quickly develop an infection that causes disease. When treating trees, it is better to use tank mixtures of drugs of different types.
You can use any effective remedy against this pest, but it will appear again and again if the suppliers are not destroyed in advance. These are none other than ants. They feed on the waste products of aphids, and therefore actively spread them throughout the garden.
First you need to find an anthill; it can be found along the route that leads to the plant affected by aphids.
The ant dwelling and “paths” leading to plants infected with aphids are treated with special preparations, for example, “Antimant”, “Muracid”, “Anteater”, “Thunder - 2”. They wait several days to make sure that the remedy has worked. And only after this they carry out treatment against aphids using Mospilan.
The working solution is prepared at the rate of 2 - 3 g of powder per 10 liters of water. The consumption rate of the resulting liquid is 500 ml per 10 m2 of herbaceous plantings or 50 - 100 ml per one woody plant, depending on its size.
Spraying begins immediately after the ants are killed. The protective effect occurs after 4 days and lasts 10–15 days. If there are no more ants, then there should be no new supply of aphids. If necessary, another treatment can be carried out, but no later than 45 days before harvesting the fruit trees.
When caring for roses, the waiting period is not relevant.
Reviews
Vladimir: Mospilan is effective against many pests. I was convinced of this last summer, using it first against the cherry fly, then against the gall midge in a raspberry field, and then against the codling moth on a quince and apple tree. I am quite satisfied with the result.
Anna: Mospilan poisoned scale insects on orchids, and at the same time destroyed thrips. Such an unexpected bonus! An excellent drug.
- Feedback on using Inta-Vir
Natalya: I treated fruit trees and potatoes with this preparation. Mospilan did an excellent job with the beetle; I didn’t even expect such an effect. And the caterpillars on the apple and plum trees were gone too.

Storage
Original Mospilan can be stored for 36 months in unopened packaging. in a dark place (all neonicotinoids are subject to photolysis). In reality, the powder can be taken in parts over 2 seasons from a tightly sealed, vapor-tight container if the drug is stored in a dry room (neonicotinoids are also subject to hydrolysis). The remaining storage conditions are usual for pesticides: locked away from children and animals in a separate non-residential area in which food products are not stored. The permissible storage temperature range for Mospilan is +(5-30) degrees Celsius.
Note: how to divide a package or large sample of powder into small doses without precise scales, see the video below:
Video: how to measure the required amount of the drug
Let's think about the future
Mospilan, like imidacloprid (the basis of Iskra Zolotoy and Kofidor), at the first time of its use seemed environmentally safe in the long term, because does not contain sulfur, phosphorus, or metals that give long-term negative after-effects. But its deadly effect on insects has already led to a quiet but severe environmental disaster in some Western countries. There is a lot of space and wildlife in Russia, but not an infinite amount. It is immeasurably more difficult to control the environmental impact of many small farms than large areas. Therefore, it is highly desirable for private farmers to limit the use of the Mospilan insecticide to greenhouse farming. Mospilan can be “released” into the garden for a season or two to get rid of leaf miners. And in the field - if there are potato bugs in large numbers. Which, of course, is better not to do.
Final note: when working with Mospilan in a greenhouse, the use of PPE that completely excludes contact of the drug with the worker’s body is mandatory!
Mospilan, RP
Mospilan is a systemic insecticide of contact-intestinal action to protect grain crops, potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers from the most dangerous pests. The drug has a long period of protective action.
Mechanism of action: Mospilan contains one highly effective active ingredient, acetamiprid, from the neonicotinoids class.
- Acetamiprid - interacts with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor of the postsynaptic membrane as a competitor of acetylcholine, but unlike acetylcholine, acetamiprid is not destroyed, which causes a disruption in the transmission of nerve impulses through the synapse and the insect dies from severe nervous overexcitation.
Advantages:
- The drug has systemic and translaminar actions
- The period of protective action is at least 7 days when treated during the growing season, when treated - for a minimum of 21 days after treatment.
- Compatible with most pesticides used, with the exception of highly alkaline ones.
- Virtually not dangerous for bees and bumblebees.
- Non-toxic to plants at recommended application rates. If the regulations for use are observed, cultivated plants exhibit a fairly high level of tolerance to the drug.
- The first signs of the drug's effect are observed within 1-2 hours after treatment.
- Maintains high efficiency even at high temperatures

Precautions when working with insecticide
The danger class to which Mospilan belongs is third. This means that the drug is considered a moderately dangerous substance, and you need to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator, when working with the insecticide. At the end of spraying, you should not only wash your face and wash your hands with disinfectants, but also rinse your mouth with a weak soda solution.
If you have an apiary, then you need to limit the movement of bees for a period of one to two days.
You can store the drug "Mospilan" in a dry place where the temperature ranges from +15 to +30 degrees. The insecticide should not be placed near food and medicine, or where it can be reached by children and pets. It is not recommended to throw Mospilan packaging into the trash, much less allow it to get into water bodies. The package must be burned, and the smoke must not be inhaled.
Application regulations
As for the application regulations, for potatoes when fighting the Colorado potato beetle, the waiting period is 14 days, 1 treatment. The concentration of the working solution is 0.5-1.0 g per 10 l. For treatment against whiteflies in a greenhouse, 3 grams per 10 liters. According to Gennady Raspopov, who used the drug to combat the codling moth, Mospilan is a low-toxic drug with a wide range of possible concentrations, and he recommends in most cases using the same concentration as for the Colorado potato beetle.
Category Questions and answers
Question No. 1. Does the sprayer used to apply Mospilan matter?
Answer.
Not so much a sprayer as a spray nozzle. It should be finely dispersed, that is, create a water mist. Miniature drops linger better on the surface and are absorbed faster into plant tissues. With strong pressure, the liquid simply flows from the leaves and stems to the ground. Thus, the effect is much less, and the consumption of the substance is unreasonably high.
Mospilan cannot be used during flowering of fruit trees due to bees. They may die from the insecticide.
Question No. 2. Do I need to treat PPE after work?
Answer.
Necessarily! If the mask or respirator for respiratory protection is not disposable, they are treated with a solution of soda ash. It is prepared at the rate of 5 g per 1 liter of water. Plastic gardening glasses and rubber gloves are soaked in the same composition. After that, all devices are washed under warm running water.
To disinfect textile clothing, regular washing is sufficient, but it is better to use laundry soap.
After completing work, be sure to take a shower.
Instructions for use
When using Mospilan, you must strictly follow the instructions for use. The insecticide has a fast action - the first results can be seen within 60 minutes after treating the plants.
Insecticide instructions Break
The method of application and dosage of the drug depend on the type of plants being treated:
- For tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegetables - 2.5 g of Mospilan should be poured into 1 liter of water, then a glass of the solution should be combined with 10 liters of water. The product is used for spraying vegetables.
- Treatment of pears and apple trees - 2.5 g of insecticide should be diluted in 1 liter of water, then mixed with ¼ bucket of water. Then add clean water to the solution, stirring constantly, so that the total volume of the solution is at least 10-11 liters.
- Treatment of vegetable crops against the Colorado potato beetle - 5-6 g of the drug per 10 liters of water, the insecticide is used for spraying plants.
Mospilan is highly effective against most of the most common insect pests - cabbage and mustard bugs, copperhead, aphids, scale insects, codling moth, flea beetles, whiteflies, Colorado potato beetles, stem nematodes.
When spraying the product, make sure that it evenly covers all parts of the plant.
Compatibility with other security products
Without destroying ants that carry aphids, pest control is not effective.
When combining Mospilan with other substances in tank mixtures, it is important to remember that the drug is not compatible with alkaline compounds, for example, Bordeaux mixture, lime-containing fertilizers, soda. And most importantly, the insecticide is completely intolerant to preparations containing sulfur
When the listed substances are excluded, you cannot be completely sure that other drugs will “get along” with Mospilan.
Sometimes, the instructions for the drug indicate a number of products with which this insecticide does not chemically conflict. More often than not, manufacturers list their products. If specific names are not indicated, it is recommended not to mix the product with alkaline substances.
You can check compatibility yourself if:
- Separately dissolve a small amount of each drug that is planned to be mixed in one tank mixture,
- Test samples are poured one by one into one container.
- If a homogeneous mass is obtained without changing color or flakes, the solutions are considered compatible.
Unfortunately, this method does not provide a 100% guarantee that the mixture will work as expected in the future. It is likely that a slow chemical reaction will not appear immediately, but after some time. This can be definitively determined if the tank mixture has no effect on pathogens and pests. That is, nothing will happen.
Compatibility with other tools
Mospilan can be used in a common solution with the vast majority of pesticides and insecticides. The exceptions are drugs:
- giving a highly alkaline reaction;
- containing sulfur.
Preliminary “test” mixing of drugs planned for simultaneous use in small volumes is mandatory. The resulting flocculent precipitate indicates their incompatibility. If the result is a homogeneous solution that retains its original color and does not emit a pronounced “chemical” odor, it is suitable for use.
Due to its alkaline reaction, Bordeaux mixture is incompatible with Mospilan

Effect on pests
There is no need to treat every centimeter. The pest only needs direct contact or eating the sprayed plant. The effect of the drug extends to insects even in untreated areas.
An hour after the procedure, you can see the first results of Mospilan insecticide; the instructions guarantee an effect not only on adults, but also on larvae and eggs. After exposure to the drug, insects move chaotically, fall from the leaves, and die the next day.
Effectiveness remains for two to three weeks if the air temperature does not change or rises.
Storing the product
The drug is stored in a cool room (-15...+ 30°C), without mixing with food and medicines, out of reach of children and pets. The diluted solution is not allowed to be stored. Do not mix with other drugs.
Safety precautions for use
"Mospilan" in terms of toxicity belongs to class 3 for humans and bees. It is low toxic to humans, beneficial insects, animals, plants and soil. It is prohibited to use it in areas near water bodies, as the active substance may be toxic to fish.

Preparation of working solution
- For work, choose dishes that are guaranteed not to react chemically with acetamiprid, the active substance. Glass or plastic containers are best. It is strictly not recommended to use galvanized buckets. If there is no other utensil other than metal, then only enameled one will do, without chips.
- The container is filled to a quarter of its volume with water, the temperature of which is +200 - +250.
- With constant stirring, add small portions to the powder.
- When the entire dose of the drug has been added, without interrupting stirring, add water to the required volume.
- The resulting working solution is immediately poured into the sprayer tank and work begins immediately.
- The product is applied only to the upper part of the leaves. This is enough for the solution to be absorbed inside and spread throughout the plant.
Important! The working solution cannot be stored; it must be used immediately after preparation. . Treatment standards for garden crops

a brief description of
The drug belongs to neonicotinoids - a new class of insecticides. It is widely used in the fight against various pests on fruit and berry trees and shrubs, cereals, open and closed garden vegetables, as well as ornamental plants. Available in the form of a water-soluble powder.
Mechanism of action of the insecticide
- After spraying, Mospilan is absorbed by crops and naturally spreads throughout all parts of the plant.
- Pests die not only as a result of direct spraying, but also from eating treated parts of plants.
- Pests die from the action of the insecticide on their nervous system - from nervous excitement and paralysis.
Advantages of Mospilan
- pests do not develop resistance to this substance,
- the result of spraying can be assessed within one hour after using the drug,
- pests are destroyed even in the most inaccessible places,
- the consumption of the substance is very economical, since there is no need to process the plants completely,
- "Mospilan" is characterized by a low application rate,
- the destructive effect on adult insects, larvae and eggs lasts up to three weeks,
- the drug has high biological effectiveness, which does not depend on temperature,
- can be used with a large number of pesticides.
Mechanism of action of the product
Acetamiprid has a nerve-paralytic effect on insects. The substance blocks the passage of impulses through synapses. The death of pests occurs after overexcitation and paralysis. Agrochemicals of the neonicotinoid group penetrate into plant leaves and accumulate in them. The poisonous effect occurs when eating treated leaves and stems.
The agricultural product is effective at any stage of development of pest organisms: eggs, larvae, mature individuals. Non-phytotoxic, used for flowering rapeseed and fruit trees.

Reviews for the drug
When choosing pest control products, it is worth getting acquainted with opinions on the use of Mospilan. There are different reviews, here are some of them:
I saw small insects on greenhouse cucumbers and treated them with folk remedies, sprayed them with soap and sprinkled them with ash. Nothing helped, and the leaves began to dry out. They recommended it at the Mospilan store; after using it, the bugs disappeared after 2 days. The yield was not affected.
Galina
A month ago, midges appeared on indoor plants, I read about this drug on the Internet and treated it, a little got on my hands, it burned, and there was a specific smell, I had to ventilate it. The midges have disappeared and are not appearing yet.
Alexander
Feeding with fertilizers and timely watering of the plant promotes excellent growth, development and resistance to pests. It is enough to spray the plants with Mospilan 1-2 times, and pests will not appear on the plants throughout the entire season.
Advantages and disadvantages
Reviews of the use of the insecticide Mospilan (sometimes marketed under the name Mospilan-Profi) highlight the following advantages of the drug:
- suitability for processing a wide variety of garden crops, regardless of growing conditions, and indoor flowers;
- combination of contact and intestinal principles of action;
- wide range of protection;
- relative safety for human health, domestic animals, and the environment in general;
- ensuring long-term protection of plantings;
- almost instantaneous (within an hour) onset of action and quick results (within 2-3 days);
- different release forms and package volumes;
- high penetration into plant tissue;
- economical consumption;
- absence of a pronounced odor in the working solution;
- weather resistance;
- inability of pests to develop immunity to the drug;
- Possibility of combination with other insecticides and pesticides.
In most cases, a pest problem can be solved with a single spray.
There are also some disadvantages:
- impossibility of use in water protected areas;
- prohibition of use during flowering;
- a noticeable decrease in efficiency outside the temperature range of 15-29 ° C;
- unsuitability of the finished solution even for short-term storage.
Important! Despite the declared moderate danger to bees, it is advisable to treat plantings with the Mospilan insecticide early in the morning, at a time of day when the activity of pollinating insects is minimized. It is also recommended to spray plants in the immediate vicinity of apiaries.
Prohibitions on the use of Mospilan are clearly listed on the packaging
Conditions for storage and safe use
The temperature regime for saving the drug ranges from plus five degrees to +300.
The shelf life in undamaged, original packaging is 36 months from the date indicated on the package. The product can be taken in parts if you then tightly seal the open container.
But, it is important to remember that then the storage time is reduced to two years.
Mospilan belongs to the third class of danger, and therefore it must be kept separately from products, in places inaccessible to children and pets.
When preparing the solution and working with it, personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used. If the substance gets on the skin, respiratory system or eyes, rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor.
Storage and shelf life of the drug Mospilan
In unopened packaging, Mospilan insecticide can be stored for a maximum of five years at temperatures ranging from -15 °C to 30 °C in a place with normal air humidity. It is kept separate from food products, medications, household chemicals, and out of the reach of small children and pets.
Temperature changes and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight are very harmful even for closed packaging of the Mospilan insecticide.
Important! The ready-made working solution of the Mospilan insecticide does not even have a minimum shelf life. It is completely used within the day it was prepared, or the leftovers are disposed of.
General recommendations for the use of the drug
The period of use of the insecticide is determined by the temperature within the range of + 200 - +250. This means that it is useless to use in early spring, when the weather is cool and there is a danger of return frosts. Also, the drug is not effective in extreme heat.
Tip # 1. Do not use the drug at temperatures lower than + 150 and higher than + 280.
The optimal time of day for processing is evening at sunset.
If you spray the plants early in the morning, when there is dew on the leaves, the drug will not be able to be absorbed into wet tissues, but will drain along with the moisture.
The systemic substance takes effect 4 hours after application to the surface. There should be no rain during this time.
After Mospilan has penetrated inside the plant, it is not afraid of watering and rain.
The effect of the drug lasts up to three weeks. As a rule, a single treatment is enough to protect plants from pests for the entire period of further growing season.
Compatibility
To prepare tank mixtures of Mospilan with neutral or slightly acidic agrochemicals that do not contain sulfur (see above), you must first do a compatibility test. In a shaded room, 50-100 ml of working solutions are prepared, poured into a clean glass container and left for an hour in the dark or semi-darkness. If signs of a chemical reaction are detected (change in temperature and/or color of the mixture, cloudiness, formation of flakes and/or sediment, bubbles, foam) – the drugs are incompatible. But this is not a guarantee of compatibility: using homemade methods, the incompatibility of pesticides is accurately determined only by the lack of a protective effect.
Composition and release form
Mospilan insecticide is developed and produced by Nippon Soda Co. The active substance - α-acetamiprid - is a white or yellowish powder (see figure) with a solubility in water of 4.2 g/l. This makes it possible to produce the drug for agrochemical purposes in the form of a water-soluble powder (WRP, RP) or a water-soluble concentrate WRK, because acetamiprid is much more soluble in organic solvents, e.g. in ethyl alcohol. Sales forms from other manufacturers in the form of wettable powder SP, suspensions, emulsions (KS, SK, EC) necessarily contain additives, which may not be listed in the description of the drug.
The active ingredient of the insecticide Mospilan is α-acetamiprid
Note: the original drug goes on sale in a 20% concentration (200 g/kg), but for analogues it may be different, see below.
